Now, more than ever during these uncertain times it has cause me to become depressed, and feel somewhat out of touch. The only way I can stay sane is to study my bible and to pray more often. Maybe it's by design. It does help to calm me. I had to find new ways to spend my time alone. I now have time to the read books I've been waiting to read forever! I have made lots of new recipes. I exercise more. A nice bike ride is one of the biggest treats that I give to myself and I use to hate riding! Although everything is so chaotic, I feel there has been such an awakening as well. We now appreciate the small things like fresh air!!
We have had so many fires lately, the Air quality is unbearable . Mask wearing when it's hot out isn't fun. Also, not being able to Hug those you love is very hard especially for a hugger. During these times more so than ever, it is good to just pick up the phone and call a friend you haven't talked to in a long time. Maybe just call someone to let them know you care and are thinking of them. Meditation is an awesome way to escape to those travel destinations you have missed this year of social distancing! The one thing to remember in all of this is we must always be thankful were we are in life. If you take time and think, you will find plenty of things to be thankful for.
